Terms of use

By using SignWow, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time.

Effective date: November 01, 2025 These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) along with our SignWow Privacy Policy, governs your access to and use of SignWow United States websites, applications, products, and programs (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Who We Are

SignWow, LLC (hereinafter known as “SignWow,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) refer to SignWow United States and its U.S. affiliates providing the Services.

Eligibility; Accounts

You must be at least 14 years old to register for our Services. If you are under 18, you must have verifiable consent and ongoing supervision from a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Services and any associated payments. For specifically ASL Go, the consent form for a parent/guardian to complete this on behalf of their minor can be found by clicking here. For our Services, you must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly update your account details. We may refuse service, close accounts, or reclaim usernames where we believe appropriate.

License to User Content (Limited, Internal Use)

You retain ownership of content you submit or that is captured during sessions (“User Content”). You grant SignWow a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, transcribe, analyze, adapt, and create derivative works from User Content solely to: (a) operate, maintain, and secure the Services; (b) conduct internal research and development (including training/evaluating AI features); (c) perform product analytics and quality assurance; and (d) comply with law. We may de‑identify and aggregate data for internal use. We will not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal data.

You represent and warrant you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe others’ rights.

Description of Services

SignWow provides digital platforms, programs, and related services that support communication access, inclusion, education, advocacy, and technology solutions for Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, Deaf+, and signing communities, as well as their families, service providers, employers, schools, and other partners. Our Services currently include, among other things:

  • (a) ASL education and immersion offerings (including on-demand programs such as “ASL Go”);
  • (b) sign language interpreting services (on-site and remote, scheduled and on-demand);
  • (c) on-demand Professional & Advocacy (“P&A”) services;
  • (d) technology solutions and platforms that may be licensed or made available to agencies, enterprises, and interpreting providers;
  • (e) training and consultation related to accessibility, compliance, and inclusive practices;
  • and (f) research and development activities to modernize communication access.

ASL Go is an on-demand American Sign Language (ASL) immersive social and cultural conversational service designed to raise ASL awareness across the United States, address gaps in interpreter education, support early intervention for deaf children and families, and promote employment opportunities for deaf people. ASL Go is not an interpreting service.  Sessions are for ASL practice, skill-building, and community connection only and are not licensed interpreting, medical, legal, mental health, or other professional services. Contractors (including Deaf Guides and other ASL Go facilitators) will not present ASL Go sessions as interpreting or professional advice and will redirect such requests consistent with these Terms, our policies, and any applicable codes of conduct.  For interactive audio/video features including without limitation all ASL lessons, 1:1 sessions, group classes, workshops, assessments, and support interactions, all sessions are recorded (audio/video, transcripts/captions, chat, and related metadata) to operate and improve the Services, for safety and quality assurance, internal research and development (including training/evaluating Artificial Intelligence [AI] features), product analytics, and staff training. By using ASL Go, you acknowledge and consent to recording and processing as described above and in the Privacy Policy. Where required by law, in‑session banners and/or consent prompts will appear. If you do not consent to recording, do not use interactive features. You agree not to disable, circumvent, or interfere with recording functionality.  We do not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal information to third parties , and we do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising (see Privacy Policy for details) when using ASL Go services. SignWow’s on-demand Professional & Advocacy (P&A) Services is a core service line intended to foster empowerment and self-sufficiency in deaf people’s daily lives and to offer immediate support that promotes independence and community integration. Examples include helping users understand benefits and workplace options (such as jobs with employer-sponsored health insurance), providing short-term support related to physical, emotional, or health concerns, or assisting with clarification of letters, forms, emails, or other communications. P&A Services provide advocacy, navigation, and informational support only. SignWow does not provide legal services or medical care, does not render legal or medical opinions, diagnoses, or treatments, and is not engaged in the practice of law or medicine.

Acceptable Use; Community Standards

Do not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities; no harassment or hate speech. No exploitation of children or vulnerable individuals; report concerns immediately. Do not access non‑public areas, interfere with security, or reverse engineer except as permitted by law. Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of others; follow session etiquette. Unless we specifically state otherwise in writing, independent contractors (“Contractors”) are not employees, partners, or agents of SignWow. Contractors may not represent that they are authorized to bind SignWow or make promises on SignWow’s behalf. Contractors are responsible for confirming that any session or service meets their educational, communication, accessibility, or advocacy needs and for complying with these Terms, our Code of Conduct, and all applicable policies. When facilitating ASL education or immersion sessions (including ASL Go), Contractors do not provide licensed interpreting, medical, legal, or other professional services and must redirect requests for such services consistent with these Terms and our policies. We may request or verify credentials, certifications, or compliance documentation from Contractors (including interpreters and P&A specialists), and providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate removal or termination of access. While SignWow aims to work with qualified providers and may perform certain screening or quality checks, we do not guarantee that any particular Contractor will hold specific licenses, specialties, or subject-matter expertise. Because communication involves human judgment and context, we cannot promise that any interpretation, translation, or advocacy support will be error-free or complete, and you should use your own judgment when deciding whether and how to rely on any session, especially in high-stakes situations such as legal, medical, or mental health contexts.

Fees, Subscriptions, and Taxes

Pricing, plan descriptions, and applicable usage limits are presented at or before the time of purchase or enrollment and may vary by Service, customer type, or promotion. By placing an order or signing up for a paid plan, you authorize SignWow (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for all fees, taxes, and other charges associated with your account. Unless a specific plan states otherwise, subscriptions and recurring services automatically renew at the then-current rates until you cancel in accordance with the applicable plan terms. You agree that we may charge your payment method on a recurring basis without requiring separate consent for each renewal, and you are responsible for keeping your billing information current. We may correct pricing or billing errors even after a charge has been submitted, subject to applicable law. If a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or not received when due, we may suspend or terminate your access to some or all Services, charge reasonable late fees where permitted, or require you to update your payment method before continuing to use the Services.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Some plans, sessions, or enterprise contracts include specific cancellation, rescheduling, or minimum-notice requirements. Those terms will be provided at purchase, in your account settings, or in a separate agreement. You are responsible for reviewing and following those requirements; otherwise, you may be charged for late cancellations, missed sessions, or ongoing subscription fees. Except where a specific Service description, separate contract, or applicable law provides otherwise, all fees are non-refundable and all sales are final. Certain bookings, digital products, and time-based Services may be fully non-refundable once scheduled, delivered, or accessed. We may, but are not obligated to, issue credits or make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Third‑Party Services and Integrations

The Services may rely on, integrate with, or link to third-party platforms and services (for example, payment processors, video-conferencing providers, communication tools, learning management systems, or employer/agency systems). Your use of those third-party offerings is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. We do not endorse, monitor, or guarantee third-party websites, software, or content and are not responsible for any losses, harm, disputes, or obligations arising from your dealings with third parties, including any products or services you obtain from them. If you access a third-party site or service from our platform, you do so at your own risk.

Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to the SignWow United States Privacy Policy, which explains our practices and your choices, including the company‑wide recording policy and our no‑sale/no‑share stance for personal data and raw recordings.

Beta Features; Feedback

Beta or trial features are provided “as is” and may be changed or discontinued at any time. You grant SignWow a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use feedback for improving the Services.

Intellectual Property

The Services including software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to SignWow and protected by law. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works.

DMCA and Complaints

If you believe content infringes your copyright, email privacy@signwow.com with a notice compliant with 17 U.S.C. §512.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW AND ITS AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR CLASS, SESSION, INTERPRETER, ADVOCATE, CONTRACTOR, OR FEATURE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

Interpreting, translation, language learning, advocacy, and technology-based communication support involve human judgment and may depend on network conditions and many factors outside our control. Although SignWow strives to engage trained and experienced providers, we cannot guarantee that any interpretation, translation, captioning, or advocacy support will be perfect, complete, or suited to every specialized context (for example, highly technical, medical, legal, or mental health matters). You are responsible for determining whether and how to use the Services in any given situation and for obtaining advice directly from licensed professionals when you need medical, legal, mental health, financial, or other professional services.

All information, practice sessions, and support offered through the Services—including ASL Go and Professional & Advocacy (P&A) Services—are provided for educational, communication, navigational, and general informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, mental health therapy, or any other professional service, and your use of the Services does not create a professional-client relationship with SignWow or any Contractor.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SignWow and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

Termination; Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services for violations of these Terms, to protect users or the platform, or as required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Governing Law; Dispute Resolution; Class Action Waiver

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York (conflict‑of‑laws rules excluded). Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis, with venue in Wyoming, unless otherwise required by law. YOU AND SIGNWOW WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
