Who We Are

"SignWow," "we," "us," and "our" refer to SignWow United States and its U.S. affiliates providing the Services.

Eligibility; Accounts

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have verifiable consent and ongoing supervision from a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Services and any associated payments. You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly update your account details.

We may refuse service, close accounts, or reclaim usernames where we believe appropriate.

Company‑Wide Recording Policy (Interactive Services)

For interactive audio/video features including without limitation all ASL lessons, 1:1 sessions, group classes, workshops, assessments, and support interactions, all sessions are recorded (audio/video, transcripts/captions, chat, and related metadata) to operate and improve the Services, for safety and quality assurance, internal research and development (including training/evaluating Artificial Intelligence [AI] features), product analytics, and staff training.

By using interactive features, you acknowledge and consent to recording and processing as described above and in the Privacy Policy. Where required by law, in‑session banners and/or consent prompts will appear. If you do not consent to recording, do not use interactive features. You agree not to disable, circumvent, or interfere with recording functionality.

We do not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal information to third parties, and we do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising (see Privacy Policy for details).

License to User Content (Limited, Internal Use)

You retain ownership of content you submit or that is captured during sessions ("User Content"). You grant SignWow a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, transcribe, analyze, adapt, and create derivative works from User Content solely to: (a) operate, maintain, and secure the Services; (b) conduct internal research and development (including training/evaluating AI features); (c) perform product analytics and quality assurance; and (d) comply with law. We may de‑identify and aggregate data for internal use. We will not sell or rent raw video recordings or personal data.

You represent and warrant you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe others' rights.

Description of Services

• Web and mobile applications, content libraries, assessments, events and workshops.
• Interactive audio/video services (e.g., ASL Services such as "ASL Go").
• Instructor marketplace and scheduling tools ("Deaf Guides" for instructors; "Learners" for learners).
• Messaging and community features subject to our Code of Conduct.

Acceptable Use; Community Standards

• Do not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities; no harassment or hate speech.
• No exploitation of children or vulnerable individuals; report concerns immediately.
• Do not access non‑public areas, interfere with security, or reverse engineer except as permitted by law.
• Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of others; follow session etiquette.

Deaf Guides and Learners

• Unless expressly stated otherwise, Deaf Guides are independent contractors, not employees or agents of SignWow.
• Deaf Guides and Learners are responsible for confirming that sessions meet their learning needs and for compliance with policies.
• We may request credentials/compliance documents from Deaf Guides; providing false information is grounds for removal.

Fees, Subscriptions, and Taxes

• Pricing and plan details are presented at purchase and may be subject to taxes.
• Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in accordance with plan terms.
• We may suspend or terminate access for non‑payment or chargebacks.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

• Plans may include specific rescheduling/cancellation windows; see your plan terms at purchase.
• Refund eligibility is governed by the plan and applicable law; certain bookings may be non‑refundable.

Third‑Party Services and Integrations

The Services may rely on third‑party platforms (e.g., payments, video processing, communications). Your use may be subject to their terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third‑party sites or services we do not control.

Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to the SignWow United States Privacy Policy, which explains our practices and your choices, including the company‑wide recording policy and our no‑sale/no‑share stance for personal data and raw recordings.

Beta Features; Feedback

• Beta or trial features are provided "as is" and may be changed or discontinued at any time.
• You grant SignWow a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use feedback for improving the Services.

Intellectual Property

The Services including software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks—are owned by or licensed to SignWow and protected by law.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works.

DMCA and Complaints

If you believe content infringes your copyright, email privacy@signwow.com with a notice compliant with 17 U.S.C. §512.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOMES OR AVAILABILITY OF ANY PARTICULAR INSTRUCTOR OR TIMESLOT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNWOW AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SignWow and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

Termination; Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services for violations of these Terms, to protect users or the platform, or as required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Governing Law; Dispute Resolution; Class Action Waiver

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York (conflict‑of‑laws rules excluded). Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis, with venue in Wyoming, unless otherwise required by law. YOU AND SIGNWOW WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.

Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Services or email and become effective when posted or on the stated effective date.

Supplement: ASL Services (All Sessions Recorded)

This supplement applies to SignWow's ASL Services (e.g., live 1:1 or group ASL lessons, workshops, assessments, and related features).

• Recording requirement: all ASL sessions are recorded.
• Purpose: operations; safety and quality assurance; internal research and development (including training/evaluating AI features); product analytics; and staff training.
• Notice/consent: in‑session banners and/or consent prompts will be presented where required by law; participation constitutes consent to recording and processing.
• User responsibilities: do not share sensitive information you are not comfortable including in a recording; comply with laws in your jurisdiction; obtain any legally required permissions from participants you invite.
• No sale/no share: SignWow will not sell or rent your raw video recordings or personal data, and will not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising. Refer to the Privacy Policy for details.
• Retention: unless otherwise required, ASL recordings are retained up to 24 months by default, then deleted or de‑identified, subject to safety/legal holds.
