1. Scope and responsibilityÂ
SignWow Global Ltd is the controller of personal information processed for operating the Global Website at www.signwow.com and its global information pages. Our company number is SC805787 and our registered office is 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN. “Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
‍
This Policy covers browsing the Global Website, choosing a country and contacting the global team. It does not cover the United States pages at www.signwow.com/usa, other country websites, apps or local services. Their privacy policies identify the responsible entity and explain their processing. We remain responsible for any processing that we ourselves carry out in connection with the Global Website.
‍
2. Information we collect
‍
Website and security information: our systems and hosting providers may collect your IP address, browser and device information, access times, pages visited, referring page and country-link selections, together with records needed to detect faults or misuse. The exact information depends on the features and settings used.
Information you provide: if you contact us, we receive your name, contact details, country or organisation if supplied, the content of your enquiry and related correspondence. If preference or consent controls are used, we also keep the choices and records needed to apply them.
‍
You do not need to provide your name or create an account to browse the Global Website. Information you send voluntarily is not a condition of browsing, but we may be unable to answer an enquiry without sufficient contact details. Please do not send passwords, payment details, medical records or other sensitive information through a general enquiry. Any collection ofsensitive information for a specific purpose requires an appropriate explanation and legal basis.
m
3. How and why we use information
‍
We use technical information to deliver, maintain and secure the Global Website, diagnose faults and prevent misuse. Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe, functioning website, subject to balancing those interests against your rights.
‍
We use enquiry information to respond and, where appropriate to your request, direct you to the relevant country team. We rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, or on taking steps at your request before entering a contract where that basis applies. We use records to meet applicable legal obligations where processing is legally required.
‍
If optional analytics or similar features are introduced, we will explain them in the cookie information and obtain consent where required before activating them. We do not treat browsing or country selection asagreement to receive marketing. Any optional marketing subscription will have its own notice and choice.
‍
4. Personal Information We CollectÂ
‍
The SignWow Global website does not currently use cookies or similar technologies to store or access information on your device. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required before using those technologies. When you follow a link to a country-specific SignWow website, that website’s privacy policy and any applicable cookie information will govern its use of cookies and similar technologies.
Â
5. How We Use Personal Information ‍
‍
We do not sell Global Website visitor information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use Global Website visitor information to train sign language AI models or make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
‍
Information is processed within the respective country. If information is transferred to a country without a recognised adequate level of protection, we use legally required safeguards, such as approved contractual clauses and supplementary measures where needed. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your information or a copy, subject to necessary redactions.
We share relevant information with hosting, security, website support and communications providers under appropriate confidentiality and data protection arrangements. We may pass an enquiry to the SignWow country entity best placed to answer it, where consistent with your request and applicable law. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims.
‍
6. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described: technical logs for routine operations and security investigation; enquiries until resolved and for any justified follow-up or claims period; and consent records for as long as needed to demonstrate and honour your choices. Legal preservation requirements may justify longer retention. We then delete or anonymise it under our retention procedures. We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet system is completely secure.
7. Your rights and contactÂ
Contact legal@signwow.com or write to our registered office, marked “Privacy”. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or your competent local privacy authority without contacting us first. Contact us about children’s information or accessible formats. We will update the effective date when this Policy changes and highlight material changes; any newly required consent will be requested separately.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also have rights to opt out of specified uses and appeal a denied request. We verify requests proportionately, meet applicable response deadlines and do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising these rights.
Choose the country relevant to your enquiry. Each country website provides its own privacy policy, terms of use and other applicable legal policies, including any service terms, cookie information, accessibility information and privacy request procedures. These apply within their stated scope.

Terms of Use
1. About this website
These Terms of Use apply to the global landing page at www.signwow.com and the global information pages that link to these Terms (the “Global Website”). The Global Website is operated by SignWow Global Ltd, registered in Scotland under company number SC805787, with its registered office at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN (“SignWow Global”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
The Global Website introduces the SignWow group and helps visitors find the appropriate country website. These Terms do not apply to country pages, including the United States pages at www.signwow.com/usa, eventhough those pages share the same domain.
2. Your acceptance
Please read these Terms before using the Global Website. By using the Global Website after being given a reasonable opportunity to review these Terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the Global Website. Where we present an express acceptance option, selecting it confirms your agreement to these Terms.
‍
Our Global Website Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Accepting these Terms or choosing a country does not itself constitute consent to optional cookies, marketing or other processing that requires separate consent.
3. Country websites and local services
When you follow a country link, you enter a country website or country section governed by its own terms of use, privacy policy and other applicable legal policies. Please review those policies before using the local website or services. The country website should identify the responsible SignWow entity and the terms applicable to any service you request.
‍
The country policies govern activity on the relevant country website and local services; these Terms govern use of the Global Website. Neither set replaces the other for activity within its own scope. Selecting a country does not, by itself, accept that country’s service agreement, create an account or purchase a service.
‍
Services, eligibility, languages and availability vary by country. The Global Website does not itself provide interpreting, relay, emergency calling or account services. A link or general description does not guarantee that a service is available in your location or that you qualify for it. The country website and any applicable service agreement provide those details.
4. Permitted use
You may browse the Global Website, follow its links and download or print reasonable extracts for personal use or internal business reference, subject to applicable law and any stated third-party rights. Keep ownership notices intact and do not misrepresent our content or suggest anendorsement that we have not given.
‍
Links may lead to country websites or independent third-party sites. Their operators are responsible for their own content andservices, subject to applicable law. A link to an independent third party does not imply our endorsement. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that we have under applicable law for our own conduct.
5. Website content and prohibited conduct
‍
Do not use the Global Website unlawfully, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, impersonate another person, or collect personal information through it without a lawful basis. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the Global Website or address misuse.
The Global Website’s text, images, videos, logos and other materials belong to SignWow Global, other SignWow entities or their licensors. Except as permitted above or by law, you may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit them without the relevant owner’s permission. No trademark or other intellectual property licence is granted beyond the limited permission to use the Global Website.
6. Information and links
We take reasonable care with the Global Website, but its content is general information and may change. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every item is complete, current or free from errors. Please verify service details directly with the relevant country entity before relying on them.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded orlimited. Your mandatory consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected.
‍
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms became applicable to your use. If you use the Global Website for business purposes, we exclude liability, to the extent permitted by law, for lost profits, lost business opportunities and indirect or consequential business loss arising from that use.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Global Website, our operations or legal requirements. We will update the effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes through the Global Website, or by another appropriate method. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights. Where required, we will obtain your agreement to revised Terms.Â
9. Applicable law and contact
These Terms are governed by Scots law. The Scottish courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under the laws of your place of residence. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
‍
For questions about these Terms or to request an accessible format, contact SignWow Global Ltd at legal@signwow.com or write to our registered office above. Country service enquiries should go to the relevant country team using the directory in this document.
